Basketball Recap: Maranatha Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Maranatha Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Providence Academy Lions. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Maranatha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Providence Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maranatha Christian Academy will challenge St. Croix Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Hill-Murray at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
