Basketball Game Preview: Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders vs. Fulshear Chargers

The Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders will head out to face off against the Fulshear Chargers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Strake Jesuit will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Strake Jesuit didn't have too much trouble with Alief Elsik as they won 49-32. Given the Fighting Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Rams are ranked 484th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fulshear came up short against Foster on Wednesday and fell 58-49.

Strake Jesuit pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Fulshear, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.

Strake Jesuit was able to grind out a solid victory over Fulshear in their previous matchup on January 7th, winning 57-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Fulshear's Toby Princewill, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten blocks.
