Softball Recap: Emmaus Hornets vs. Whitehall Zephyrs

Emmaus entered their tilt with Whitehall with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Whitehall Zephyrs 3-2. Despite the win, that was the fewest runs Emmaus has scored all year.

Autumn Held spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Brianna Amey was excellent, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a run, and a double.

Emmaus' victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Whitehall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
