Basketball Recap: Hermantown Comes Up Short

Hermantown has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Proctor Rails on Thursday, falling 75-52. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Rails are ranked 25th).

Hermantown's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Proctor, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hermantown will head out to face off against Hibbing at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Proctor, they are taking a road trip to challenge Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
