Baseball Game Preview: The Heights vs. DC International Dragons

The Heights will take on the DC International Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

The Heights is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Bishop O'Connell, who was ranked seventh in their home state at the time (The Heights was ranked 19th). The Heights fell just short of Bishop O'Connell by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Heights hasn't had much luck with Bishop O'Connell recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Noah Escobar was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Will Lepre was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for DC International's offense. They came up short against Landon on Friday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

DC International saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Biko Sheridan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Sheridan has posted since back in May of 2024.

DC International's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for The Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
