Baseball Recap: Northwest Christian School Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Northwest Christian School put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Riverside Rams a 9-0 shutout.

Chase Mortlock made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mortlock was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Adin Spuler was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Benjo Roth, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Northwest Christian School pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Northwest Christian School will challenge Kellogg at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside, they will square off against Freeman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
