Softball Game Preview: Hertford County Bears vs. Pasquotank County Panthers

The Hertford County Bears will square off against the Pasquotank County Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hertford County has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Hertford County came up short against Bertie on Wednesday, falling 23-5.

Meanwhile, Pasquotank County had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Northeastern on Thursday as Pasquotank County made off with a 16-1 victory. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pasquotank County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Hertford County suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Pasquotank County in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Hertford County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
