Softball Recap: Tri-County Takes a Loss

The Tri-County Penguins came up short against the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers on Friday and fell 6-2.

Tri-County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Tri-County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-6.

Coming up, Tri-County will face off against Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something the Penguins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, they will take on Manitowoc Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
