Basketball Recap: Edwardsburg Takes a Loss

Edwardsburg entered their contest against Sturgis on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Edwardsburg Eddies took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sturgis Trojans. The Eddies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 52-35.

Edwardsburg is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6. As for Sturgis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edwardsburg will square off against Niles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sturgis, they will face off against Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
