It was a good run, but Wheeler unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16.

Ella Boes paced Wheeler's offense, picking up four kills. Boes got some help from Ja'lah Hall and her five assists. Brooklyn King controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Haven Breen, who had six digs and three aces.

Wheeler's defeat dropped their record down to 9-24. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 26-18.

Coincidentally, Wheeler and Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will both be playing Kennesaw Mountain the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
