Softball Recap: Chicopee Comp Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ludlow, Chicopee Comp was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles by a score of 12-7. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 16-4 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Ari Chagnon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Marissa Vasquez, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.

Chicopee Comp's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Chicopee Comp is taking a road trip to take on Chicopee at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, they will challenge Hopkins Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
