Volleyball Game Preview: Leo Lions vs. Heritage Patriots

Leo is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Heritage is on an eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Lions will welcome the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Leo faced off against Warsaw on Tuesday. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Heritage made easy work of DeKalb on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Barons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-18.

Heritage found their leader in sophomore Chase Buuck, who had six digs and four aces. Alexander Nagel also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Heritage couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 45.3% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Leo, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
