Soccer Recap: Orthopaedic Finds Playoff Glory Versus Downtown Magnets

Orthopaedic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Downtown Magnets Suns with a sharp 4-0 victory on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Vipers: when they faced off against the Suns back in January, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Orthopaedic hit Downtown Magnets with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christopher Del Rio (2), Ayoube Aguirre, and Kevin Tiguila.

Orthopaedic pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven matchups. As for Downtown Magnets, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Orthopaedic will square off against Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chavez will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Orthopaedic surely won't give up without a fight. Downtown Magnets does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
