Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Christian Brothers

The Hendersonville Commandos are taking a road trip to take on the Christian Brothers Purple Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hendersonville, who comes in off a win.

Christian Brothers better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Hendersonville's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Hendersonville really gets things going. The Commandos were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Rossview. Considering Hendersonville have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Christian Brothers faced Station Camp in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Purple Wave lost 4-1 to the Bison. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Christian Brothers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hendersonville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six matchups. As for Christian Brothers, they moved to 6-2-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
