Softball Recap: Emmett Takes a Loss

Emmett lost against Middleton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Emmett fell just short of Middleton by a score of 5-4. The defeat leaves the Huskies still looking for their first win of the season.

Emmett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oakley Scheibe, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits Scheibe has posted since back in April of 2024.

Emmett's record now sits at 0-5. As for Middleton, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Emmett will take on rival Nampa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Middleton is set to square off against their familiar foe Bishop Kelly at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Middleton 3.3, Bishop Kelly 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
