Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Covenant Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the New Covenant Christian Flames and fell 57-27. If Covenant Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 57-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Covenant Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexander Hart out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayden Summers, who posted 17 points and five steals.

Covenant Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for New Covenant Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian Academy will host Harrisburg Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Covenant Christian, they will be playing at home against West Shore Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
