Clark never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Churchill Chargers with a sharp  9-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than seven  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past  Ben Roska, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Churchill off the board. Roska has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Tristan Hidalgo, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Jerry Brightwell was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
Clark is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games. Churchill has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record  this season.
Clark will have a chance to go back-to-back against Churchill: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:45  p.m.  on Friday.
