Calvert put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the New Riegel Blue Jackets with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19, 25-11.

Calvert was led to victory by Claire Schoenberger and Kate Coleman. Schoenberger had 11 digs and two aces, while Coleman had five digs and four aces. Schoenberger has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Calvert was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Calvert's record is now 18-0. As for New Riegel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert will take on St. Mary Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Riegel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mohawk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
