Volleyball Recap: Community Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Community Christian Academy had taken Lake Lure Classical Academy down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since December 15, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Community Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (98-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 13-25, 13-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Community Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Community Christian Academy will be playing at home against Pinnacle Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Family Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
