Warren is 0-10 against Cathedral Prep since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Dragons will challenge the Ramblers at 4:30 p.m.
On Monday, Warren didn't have quite enough to beat Erie and fell 9-8.
Brady Shene stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Duncan McGarry also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep won against Girard on Saturday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Ramblers blew past Fort LeBoeuf 14-2. The win was nothing new for the Ramblers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Cathedral Prep also got a great performance from Frank Thomas as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.
At the plate, Davin Friedman was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was KJ Williams, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Cathedral Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Cathedral Prep's record now sits at 5-2. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Warren's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Dragons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Cathedral Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Warren continue to outrun the ball?
Warren might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Cathedral Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
