Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of nine wins, Mt. Pleasant's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dow Chargers by a score of 8-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Oilers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Dow, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant will challenge rival Davison at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dow is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
