Volleyball Game Preview: Catalina Foothills Falcons vs. Pueblo Warriors

Catalina Foothills has gone a perfect 4-0 against Pueblo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will welcome the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Monday, Catalina Foothills made easy work of Flowing Wells and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Caballeros: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Catalina Foothills took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Zane Schwartz, who had 11 digs and four assists. That's the most assists he has posted over his last seven matches.

Catalina Foothills couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 43.7% of their attack attempts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hitting percentage total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Pueblo can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Desert View as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Warriors not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.

Pueblo's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-13. As for Catalina Foothills, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-10.

Everything went Catalina Foothills' way against Pueblo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Catalina Foothills made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
