Basketball Recap: Cahokia Comes Up Short

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were dealt a 47-6 defeat at the hands of the Carbondale Terriers. While losing is never fun, the Comanches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Terriers are ranked 209th).

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Carbondale, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cahokia will head out to face off against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carbondale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mascoutah at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
