Basketball Recap: Bostonia Global Takes a Loss

Bostonia Global scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 58-25 loss at the hands of Cristo Rey. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-8 back in January.

Cristo Rey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Sawaya, who went 8 for 19 to rack up 18 points and six steals. Sawaya has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jorge Alcazar, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals.

Bostonia Global's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cristo Rey, their record is now 4-11.

Coming up, Bostonia Global will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:30 p.m. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cristo Rey, they will venture away from home to challenge San Diego Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Diego Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Cristo Rey surely won't give up without a fight.
