Basketball Game Preview: Central Tigers vs. Chaffee Red Devils

The Central Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Chaffee Red Devils at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Central turned things around against Poplar Bluff on Thursday. They strolled past the Mules with points to spare, taking the game 54-39.

Meanwhile, Chaffee hadn't done well against Notre Dame recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 59-34 win. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Central's record now sits at 5-6. As for Chaffee, their record is now 8-2.

Central suffered a grim 69-46 defeat to Chaffee in their previous meeting back in December of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
