Soccer Recap: Seekonk Comes Up Short

Seekonk lost against Westport two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Seekonk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Westport are ranked 23rd).

Seekonk's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Westport, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0-1.

Looking ahead, Seekonk will venture away from home to challenge Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westport, they will challenge Avon at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday.
