Football Recap: Greensburg Takes a Loss

Greensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Dearborn Knights, falling 39-16. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Levi Muckerheide threw for 26 yards on three of nine attempts. On the ground, Austin Cruz rushed for 86 yards on only 11 carries.

Greensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for South Dearborn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Greensburg and South Dearborn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Pirates will take on Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (217 vs. 100). Meanwhile, South Dearborn (ranked 137th) will meet East Central (ranked 17th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
