Football Recap: Wapato Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wapato came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Zillah Leopards 41-13. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Leopards are ranked 128th).

Federico Apodaca threw for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Wapato now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Zillah, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wapato will challenge Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zillah, they will take on Royal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
