Basketball Recap: Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past the Harper Creek Beavers with a 57-53 win on Tuesday. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Beavers are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. As for Harper Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.
