Baseball Recap: Chincoteague Takes a Loss

If Chincoteague was riding high fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Northampton on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ponies fell just short of the Nandua Warriors by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on May 1st.

Chincoteague saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Bloxom, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Bloxom has hit this season.

Chincoteague's loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1. As for Nandua, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

As of now, neither Chincoteague nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
