Basketball Game Preview: Lanier County Bulldogs vs. Turner County Titans

The Lanier County Bulldogs will face off against the Turner County Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Lanier County earned a 56-44 win over Brooks County.

Meanwhile, Turner County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 51-41. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Rebels are ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lanier County's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Turner County, they are also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Lanier County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-37 loss to Turner County when the teams last played on January 11th.
