Baseball Recap: Marion Drops Season-High Score on Forest Area

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). Everything went their way against the Forest Area Warriors on Friday as they made off with an 18-6 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2016.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Area, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Coincidentally, Marion and Forest Area will both be playing Buckley the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Bears on Friday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
