Softball Recap: Floyd Central Has No Trouble Against South Elgin

While Floyd Central put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for South Elgin. Floyd Central blew past South Elgin 6-0. The Highlanders' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four games.

Emmy Miller looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Addy Ware was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sophie Douce, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for South Elgin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Floyd Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Stewarts Creek on the 28th. As for South Elgin, they have also already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Castle on the 28th.
