Volleyball Recap: De La Salle Takes a Loss

De La Salle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christopher Cougars.

De La Salle was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20.

Brett Batcheller paced De La Salle's offense, picking up eight kills. Batcheller got some help from Owen McDonagh and his 13 assists. Braden Lawry- Shipe controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

De La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Christopher, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

De La Salle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Moreau Catholic on the 26th. As for Christopher, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Amador Valley on the 26th.
