Softball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer fell victim to Eaton Rapids and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Homer and nudges their season record down to 13-4. As for Eaton Rapids, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Homer and Eaton Rapids should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 77th) will meet Leslie (ranked 345th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eaton Rapids will square off against Portland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (94 vs. 308).
