Volleyball Recap: Kolbe-Cathedral Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

If Harding wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kolbe-Cathedral, they should've done a better job of containing Angel Gomez. The Cougars blew past the Presidents 3-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Gomez, who had 17 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 31 games he's played dating back to last season.

While Kolbe-Cathedral won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-11, 25-14.

Kolbe-Cathedral's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Harding, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kolbe-Cathedral will venture away from home to square off against New Milford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding, they will head out to take on Bunnell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
