Basketball Recap: Middlebridge Owl vs. Rhode Island School for the Deaf
Middlebridge kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to the Rhode Island School for the Deaf Rhode Island School for the Deaf.
Leading Rhode Island School for the Deaf to victory were Correy Oliveira and Howard Valentin. Oliveira dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Valentin earned 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.
Middlebridge will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rhode Island School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 24, 2025. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they will be playing at home against New York School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
