Jackson posted their closest victory since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the McKinley Bulldogs 74-71. The win was nothing new for the Polar Bears as they're now sitting on five straight.

McKinley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reed Sims Jr, who went 9 for 21 to rack up 21 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anthony Chavers, who went 6 of 15 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Jackson pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for McKinley, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 14-5.

Coming up, Jackson will challenge Green at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jackson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches. As for McKinley, they will face off against Hoover at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
