Football Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Pacific Pirates 65-13. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-7.

Ryan Cooper went supernova For Pacific., throwing for 396 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 18.0 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Aiden Johnson, who picked up 93 receiving yards and three TDs.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pacific, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall will square off against Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pacific, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
