Softball Recap: Lemoore Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dinuba, Lemoore was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tulare Western Mustangs by a score of 10-7. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 13-12 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Sikaya Cancio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Natash Johnson and Maddison Adams did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Adams went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Adams a new career-high. Jazlyn Guzman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Lemoore's victory bumped their record up to 14-7-1. As for Tulare Western, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lemoore is set to take on their familiar foe Hanford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tulare Western will square off against rival Tulare Union at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
