Basketball Recap: Milan Takes a Loss

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 43-28 fall against the Jefferson Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Big Reds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-34 back in December of 2024.

Milan's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Jefferson, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7.

Milan and Jefferson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Milan will take on Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 363 places (479 vs. 116). Similarly, Jefferson (ranked 339th) will meet Huron (ranked 101st) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
