Football Recap: D.H. Conley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

D.H. Conley dropped down to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They received a blow as they fell 41-24 to the Jacksonville Cardinals. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, D.H. Conley still got an impressive performance from Samari Cabell, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 159 yards and a pair of TDs. 102 of those passing yards were hauled in by Shammah Cabell, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

As for Jacksonville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.9 points this season.

Amari Pearson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 234 yards and five scores on only 12 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was SaRonn Thompson, who picked up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown.

D.H. Conley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-28 victory against J.H. Rose on the 31st. As for Jacksonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 34-8 win against White Oak on the 30th.
