Recap: Valley View Tigers vs. Vela Sabercats
This season hasn't been kind to the Valley View Tigers, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They were beaten by Vela 94-16 on Friday. Valley View has struggled against Vela recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Janai Coleman was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six assists and four steals for Vela. The team also got some help courtesy of Gg Betancourt, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Valley View dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Vela, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.
Valley View will head out on the road to challenge Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sharyland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Vela, they will be playing at home against Rowe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowe is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
