Softball Game Preview: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils

Boiling Springs is 0-10 against Greencastle-Antrim since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. Boiling Springs will host Greencastle-Antrim at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Boiling Springs was handed a 15-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Spring Grove 4-3.

Meanwhile, Greencastle-Antrim put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Bermudian Springs as Greencastle-Antrim made off with a 14-1 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meadow Gambacurta was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zhen Reuter, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Greencastle-Antrim always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Greencastle-Antrim pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Boiling Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
