Soccer Game Preview: Lehi vs. Lone Peak

Lehi is 0-7 against Lone Peak since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Lehi Pioneers will host the Lone Peak Knights at 7:00 p.m. The match will give Lehi their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

Lehi headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Mountain View let them put that streak behind them. Lehi walked away with a 4-2 victory over Mountain View on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won seven in a row.

Lehi hit Mountain View with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bode Hammond, Trey Argyle, Paxton Bentley, and Rajid Abudu.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Layton Christian Academy. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Knights were the better team in the second half.

Lone Peak pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. As for Lehi, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Lehi suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Lone Peak in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Lehi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
