Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Huntington Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on March 3rd.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Huntington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Newton is set to square off against their familiar foe Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Huntington will face off against rival Pollok Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
