Ryland Bradford Drops League-Best Effort on Thursday
Starting off the list is Abilene's Ryland Bradford, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bradford's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 113 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 69 yards.
The win (which was Abilene's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Bradford and Abilene will welcome Tascosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Xavier Vargas Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Caprock had to settle for second even though Xavier Vargas put up the best numbers he has all season. Vargas rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.
Caprock is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Vargas' next match is against Lubbock on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
