Baseball Game Preview: North Valley Knights vs. Pleasant Hill Billies

The North Valley Knights will face off against the Pleasant Hill Billies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Valley will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Pleasant Hill's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: North Valley hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Knights never let St. Mary's get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Sisters on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Outlaws by a score of 7-6.

Will Sheva was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Kelso, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

North Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12-1.
