Recap: Warren Warriors vs. River Ridge Wildcats
The Warren Warriors entered their tilt with the River Ridge Wildcats with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Warren blew past River Ridge 64-44. That's two games straight that Warren has won by exactly 20 points.
Warren was led to victory by Bryce VanRaalte and Treyton Pafford. VanRaalte scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Pafford scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Pafford hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Drew Stietz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
River Ridge lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Seth Nicholas, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Winter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Warren pushed their record up to 13-14 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for River Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
Warren will look to defend their home court on Friday against Galena at 7:00 p.m. Warren knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Galena likes a good challenge. As for River Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Ridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
