Football Game Recap: Masconomet Regional vs. North Reading

North Reading had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 14-6 win over Masconomet Regional.

After a totally unproductive first quarter, the North Reading offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Masconomet Regional couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 14-0 heading into the break. Although North Reading wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The victory bumped their record up to 4-2. Masconomet Regional are on a three-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week North Reading take on Newburyport at 7:00 PM. As for Masconomet Regional, they will face off against Triton Regional. Both of those teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Masconomet Regional and six for Triton Regional.
